Hello there. Some news from our camp. After long silence due to making new material, completing the line up and doing other non musical things the band entered the studio in January to record the new material. The songs were recorded in "Progresja Studio" with Pawel Grabowski and mixed and produced by Szymon Czech. The new stuff will be released soon on the split CD with Italian grinders Psychofagist. The preview of the new music will soon be available on band's official webpages. Apart from the tracks recorded for the split CD Antigama have almost completed rehearsing for the upcoming full length record. The new yet untitled album will be recorded and produced by Szymon Czech in spring 2011. It seems to be the most diverse recording from the band so far.

10 years of ANTIGAMA
For this year's Antigama's 10th anniversary the band plan a special gig with invited guests in Progresja club at the end od 2011 and a special CD compilation on their 10-year music journey with previously unreleased material, live trax, remixes and covers. Antigama also plan to play gigs in Poland and abroad. In the nearest future the vocalist Lukasz Myszkowski will take part in this year's Gebofon, a festival of vocal arts devoted to the phenonenon of human voice. His workshops and special live show accompanied by bands guitar man Sebastian Rokicki will take place in in Filharmonia Lodzka in Lodz in February. (details: filharmonia@filharmonia.lodz.pl)

"Our Hell" Takes Over the Adam Mickiewicz Institute

The performance, dedicated to the Adam Mickiewicz Institute on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its inception, draws upon the great oeuvre of the Institute's patron-poet and the daring ingenuity of Marcin Libera and Małgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk

At a time when many issues divide Polish society into splintered factions, a decision has to be made whether to choose love or to choose hate. To choose Poland's heaven or its hell. The team behind the recital takes on the topic of suffering and hate and asks: what does it bring?

The poetry of Adam Mickiewicz will be brought back to life in an entirely novel context in this performance based on an adaptation by Małgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk set alongside the street art creed of Marcin Liber and the music of Aleksandra Gryka. Antigama head vocalist Łukasz Myszkowski, accompanied by the Varsoviae Regii Cantores choir, will take on the role of Dante in Mickiewicz's "Ugolino. An exception to the 'Divine Comedy' ", inspired by the 3rd, 32nd and 33rd Cantos of Dante's classic work.

As the bard writes:

Dante and Virgil step down into hell. Having passed through its various wards, glimpsing all the different punishments, they come upon Ugolin; in response to Dante's question, he tells of how he was made to starve to death with his children.

In his poem, Mickiewicz expounds upon the story of Count Ugolino who, along with his two sons and grandchildren, was buried alive in a wall by the Archbishop Ruggieri.

"Our Hell" is a daring juxtaposition of conventional choir music and avant-garde grindcore rock, presented against the backdrop of the Neo-Classical architecture of the Institute's home. The drama plays out of the grand windows the Institute under the direction of Marcin Libera, one of the most important figures on the contemporary Polish art and theatre scene.

Performances take place at the Sugar Refiners' Palace at 25 Mokotowska Street in Warsaw on Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th at 20:00. Admission is free.

Oratorium Piekło Nasze - spektakl przygotowany przez trójkę artystów Aleksandrę Grykę, Małgorzatę Sikorską - Miszczuk oraz Marcina Libera, dedykowany Instytutowi Adama Mickiewicza z okazji jego 10-lecia. Spektakl został oparty na tekstach Adama Mickiewicza.

Ramę przedstawienia tworzy wiersz Mickiewicza Ugolino. Wyjątek z Boskiej Komedii, zainspirowany Pieśnią III, XXXII i XXXIII z Boskiej Komedii Dantego. Opowiedziana historia to tragedia hrabiego Ugolino, który razem z dwoma synami i wnukami został żywcem zamurowany przez arcybiskupa Ruggieriego.

Oratorium Piekło Nasze stanowi liryczny trójgłos pomiędzy racjami hrabiego Ugolino, Dantego oraz Chóru Polskiego.

Podejmując temat cierpienia i nienawiści artyści zadają proste pytanie o to, co wybierzemy w czasach, w których tak wiele dzieli Polaków: miłość czy nienawiść.

Marcin Liber jest jednym z najważniejszych reżyserów działających na marginesie polskiego mainstreamu. Do swoich inscenizacji teatralnych zaprasza, poszukujących nowego języka ekspresji, dramaturgów, aktorów, twórców wideoartu, grafików i muzyków.

Dramatopisarka i scenopisarka Małgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk, jest autorką takich sztuk jak m.in. Szajba, Śmierć Człowieka-Wiewiórki, Katarzyna Medycejska, Zaginiona Czechosłowacja, Burmistrz, Walizka, Żelazna kurtyna, Mesjasz, a także scenariusza pełnometrażowego filmu animowanego „Tytus, Romek i A'Tomek wśród złodziei marzeń".

SPRING OF DEATH to udramatyzowany kolaż tekstu, dźwięków i obrazu, którego bohaterami są ludzie gotowi na śmierć. Scenariusz czytania powstał na podstawie książek Janusza Świtaja i Pernilli Stalfelt oraz reportażu Angeliki Kuźniak i Anny Bedyńskiej.
O Januszu Świtaju zrobiło się głośno, gdy w 2007 roku uderzając w klawiaturę komputera ołówkiem trzymanym w ustach, napisał list do prezydenta z prośbą o zaprzestanie uporczywej terapii. Poprosił o prawo do decydowania o swoim życiu i swojej śmierci – domagał się odłączenia od respiratora, gdy opiekującym się nim rodzicom zabraknie sił. Za jego sprawą na nowo rozgorzała zażarta dyskusja o eutanazji, a Świtaj stał się symbolem człowieka gotowego na śmierć.

MAŁA KSIĄŻECZKA O ŚMIERCI Stalfelt to podręcznik sztuki umierania adresowany do dzieci, zaś reportaż Kuźniak i Bedyńskiej to portret ludzi planujących własny pogrzeb.

Hello! First of all, big apologies for the long silence from the Antigama's camp. Finally, the right time has come to share some cool news with you all. After very successful '1944' shows in the Warsaw Rising Museum in August 2009 we parted our ways with our singer Patryk. We want to thank Patryk for everything he's done for us since the start of our work with him and wish him only the best in the his other music projects. At the moment Antigama is busy making new songs for the upcoming new album and a couple of split releases destined for the release in 2010. On the new recordings you'll hear... Lucas, our original singer. We're more than happy that Lucas will help Antigama again and make vocals for the new album. We're very excited about it all. Dubbing 44, na podstawie tekstów Sylwii Chutnik, Magdaleny Fretacz, Moniki Powalisz, Małogarzaty Sikorskiej-Miszczul. Reżyseria Marcin Liber.

Scenariusz spektaklu powstał na podstawie kolażu tekstów współczesnych młodych autorek. Marcin Liber dokonał wyboru motywów i postaci z istniejących już dzieł literackich Sylwii Chutnik, Moniki Powalisz i Małgorzaty Sikorskiej-Miszczuk, jednak w jego spektaklu zapożyczone postaci zaczynają funkcjonować odrębnie, oderwane od swych pierwotnych kontekstów.

Na scenariusz przedstawienia złożyły się także napisane specjalnie na okazję 65. rocznicy Powstania Warszawskiego krótkie formy literackie – monolog powstańca Magdaleny Fertacz i piosenka Doroty Masłowskiej pod tytułem „Zawiadamiamy Was, że żyjemy”.

Kluczem wyboru tekstów były pytania - kim, my Polacy, z naszym doświadczeniem Powstania Warszawskiego, z naszą pamięcią historyczną jesteśmy dziś? Jak ta pamięć funkcjonuje? Jak buduje naszą tożsamość?

Autorem ilustracji do spektaklu jest Tymek Jezierski.

"Warning" was recorded in their hometown Warsaw at Progresja Sound Studio, with producer Szymon Czech (Third Degree, Nyia, Vesania, Unsun). Additionally the band have just finished working on their new video for track "Disconnected". The video was shot in Progresja Club, Warsaw, with director and producer Bartek Rogalewicz (www.rogalewicz.com) in December 2008. Premiere of the video is set for February 2009.

Poland's ANTIGAMA announce a number of European tour dates. ANTIGAMA will begin this run of tour dates in Germany. From there they hook up with label mates FUCK THE FACTS from Canada and the Dutch Grind-core band Dr. Doom. A listing of confirmed ANTIGAMA tour dates can be found below with more to be announced soon.

ANTIGAMA's up coming album "WARNING" is set for an early March 2009 international release via Relapse Records. ANTIGAMA's "Resonance" follow-up was recorded in their hometown Warsaw at Progresja Sound Studio, with producer Szymon Czech (Third Degree, Nyia, Vesania, Unsun).

Guitarist Sebastian comments to the tour: "...we are happy to go on the road across Europe with Fuck the Facts and dr.Doom. They're great bands and nice people too so there should be a lot of fun. We've got a setlist with some old stuff but we'll play mostly the new material from our upcoming album..."

ANTIGAMA RECORDING NEW ALBUM + SICK DRUMMER FEATURE

Warsaw ANTIGAMA have entered the studio this weekend to record their as-yet-untitled fifth full length, and second album for Relapse Records.

"Resonance" follow-up is being recorded in their hometown Warsaw at Progresja Sound, again with outstanding producer Szymon Czech (Third Degree, Nyia, Vesania, Unsun). The session will take about two weeks and mixing will follow shortly after. The record will see an early 2009 international release date.

After crucial line-up changes that the band went through couple months ago Antigama's guitarist Sebastian Rokicki promises their new album will be the best and landmark release in whole band's career.

SLIMEWAVE 7” Series To See CD Release

Relapse Records will issue a CD release of the entire SLIMEWAVE 7" series with exclusive bonus material on September 2nd (September 8th internationally).

The SLIMEWAVE series was a collection of six limited edition split 7" releases from twelve of the sickest and most extreme bands in the metal/grind underground. Artists included in the series include recent Relapse signees Mumakil as well as Inhume, Machetazo, Total Fucking Destruction, Cripple Bastards, Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, Antigama, ROT, Japanische Kampfhörspiele, Bathtub Shitter, XXX Maniak, and Throatplunger.
